Interests:

My research is focused on the interplay between physical mobility and mobile networked systems. This involves characterizing physical mobility (analysis of mobility traces, mobility modeling), ubiquitous computing (location- and mobility-awareness), and wireless networking, in particular ad-hoc and opportunistic communication technologies. Energy efficiency in networks are as well topics of interest as vehicular traffic estimation based on mobile phone data, and various mobile sensory-enriched applications. Recently, I started to work also on aerial networks set up by micro UAVs (unmanned aerial vehicles).
